Day 19: Another rainy rest day in Den Haag

(English version below) 

 

Gestern: der freiwillige Ruhetag in Den Haag, 

heute: der unfreiwillige Ruhetag. 

Der Wetterbericht hat so viel Regen angesagt, 

dass ich lieber noch einen Tag hier geblieben bin. 

Bei jedem Schauer habe ich gedacht: 

Eine gute Entscheidung!

In jeder Regenpause habe ich gedacht: 

Ich hätte doch auch fahren können. 

Aber so war Zeit für 

Postkarten

Bouldern

Regenspaziergänge

einen neuen Text 

viel Kaffee

Gespräche am Abendbrotstisch

über die Studienorte, 

Herausforderungen des Pfarralltags

und Reisepläne. 

 

 

Morgen dann aber wirklich:

Aufs Rad und weiter

über Utrecht nach Amersfoort. 

90km Strecke und hoffentlich

genug Regenpausen.

Yesterday: the voluntary rest day in The Hague,
today: the involuntary rest day.

The weather forecast predicted so much rain,
that I decided to stay here for another day.

With every shower I thought:
A good decision!
Every time there was a break in the rain I thought:
I could have gone as well. 

But this way there was time for
Postcards
Bouldering
rain walks
a new text
lots of coffee
conversations at the dinner table
about the places of study,
challenges of everyday parish life
and travel plans. 

 

Discovering a new climbing place

But tomorrow really:
On the bike and continuing the journey
via Utrecht to Amersfoort.
90 km and hopefully
enough rain breaks.
