Day 15: Rest day in Bruges

(English version below)

 

 

Heute also: Keine Fahrradkilometer, 

stattdessen: 

Kaffee und Kathedrale, 

ein unverhofftes Straßenfest, 

Wäsche waschen und Emails schreiben, 

den weiteren Verlauf der Tour planen 

und ein bisschen ziellos durch Brügge schlendern.  

Morgen geht's in die Niederlande

und am Dienstag bin ich in Den Haag. 

Es ist ein bisschen unwirklich, 

dass ich schon zwei Wochen unterwegs bin

und seit zwei Wochen darüber schreibe. 

 

Auch wenn ich es nicht immer schaffe, 

auf alles zu antworten:

Ich freue mich riesig über alle Nachrichten. 

Das motiviert mich sehr 

und es ist das schönste Gefühl, 

nicht nur für mich zu radeln und zu schreiben, 

sondern in dem Wissen, 

dass das wirklich Menschen verfolgen und lesen. 

 

Der Ruhetag tat gut

und nun freu ich mich auf die nächsten zwei Wochen 

und dann: aufs Ankommen.

So today: No cycling kilometres,
instead:
Coffee and cathedral,
an unexpected street festival,
washing clothes and writing emails,
planning the rest of the tour
and strolling a bit aimlessly through Bruges. 

 

 

Tomorrow I'm off to the Netherlands
and on Tuesday I'll be in The Hague.

It's a bit surreal
that I've been on the road since two weeks
and that I've been writing about it since two weeks. 

 

Even though I don't always manage
to reply to everything:
I am so so happy about all the messages.
It motivates me a lot
and it's just the best feeling, 

to cycle and write not only for myself,
but to know
that people are really following and reading it.
 
The rest day today did me good
and now I am looking forward 

to the next two weeks on the road
and then - to the arriving.
